Size guide

Ah, sizes! Not always easy to get right, we know. We're all humans, not cookie-cutter people, so we know that what size you buy can vary, between tops and bottoms, with different types of clothes, and even fluctuate over time. That's just life! But we want to make sure we help you get the best fit for you. That's why we have a size guide to help, and a downloadable size measurement chart with all the useful measurements.

In most cases, follow the size you buy on the high street.

Our size guide is based on sizes from H&M, as they are one of the most popular brands in the UK according to our shoppers. So if you know what size you usually buy from them, you can be fairly confident that it will be the same with This is Unfolded.

This should hopefully help you get the right fit for you. If you have any questions, just get in touch with us on we're very friendly and helpful!

How to measure yourself

For best results, make sure you measure yourself in just your underwear, so you get accurate measurements. (Put the heating on if you have to...) It’s best to wear an everyday bra, the kind you will be wearing with these clothes - we know our clothes are amazing, but no need to break out the fanciest Madonna corset for this measuring exercise. Use a measuring tape (a ruler just won't do, I'm afraid), and measure the following:

  • Bust - Measure around the fullest part of your bust and across your back
  • Waist - Keeping the tape measure taut, measure around your natural waist.
  • Lower hip - With your legs together, measure approximately 20cm down from your natural waist and measure around the lower part of your bottom.

Think about it as "biggest, smallest, biggest". You want to measure the biggest part of your chest, the smallest part of your waist and the biggest part of your hips!

"I love the clothes I ordered from This Is Unfolded - they are of a high quality, a good fit, and were well worth the wait. It was great getting a regular progress report on the clothes too. I love what this company represents and am very happy to support a change in the fashion industry."
