The Unfolded mission: A fashion industry without this waste
We are building a fashion industry without the waste, and using the savings to help hundreds of thousands of people to have better lives. This report outlines the progress we’ve made towards this mission over the past 6 months: From ensuring no new clothes get wasted, to funding education programs and paying higher wages.
There are now 53,500 Unfolders who have shopped with Unfolded - growing 103% in the last 12 months.
Over 7,000 of these amazing customers have joined our private Facebook group to be at the core of what we do, helping design every item we make and guiding us on our mission!
Together we’ve sent 0 new products to landfill - with a traditional brand this number could have been as much as 29,100 unsold items sent straight to landfill!Read on to discover more...
Change Starts with Education
With the savings created by making clothes without waste Unfolders have so far funded over 6,000 kids learning to read and write, run by our impact partners Pratham.
160 of these children are fully supported in their education at the Pratham Education Centre, where we now cover 50% of the running costs.
The rest are supported through education programmes ran by Pratham across India.

Garment Workers and Factories
Bonsues paid to 400+ workers, thanks to our zero waste approach. 80% of these workers didn’t work on our products, but are paid to ensure fairness among the factory employees.
Our commitment to ethical production has also helped these factories introduce solar panels to decrease their energy usage by 50%.

"I absolutely love the concept, ethical clothing at similar prices to 'fast fashion' - you just have to be prepared to wait, over 2 months in my experience.
BUT I have to say that the delay in receiving the product has far been outweighed by the stellar customer service and communication."
