The Story of TALLTERNATIVE
TALLternative clothes is a collaboration between Unfolded and TALLternative, an online group founded in 2020 to help tall women discover amazing clothes.
I'm Vicky - the founder of TALLternative. I'm a self-confessed 6-foot-tall fashion addict who got sick of not finding clothes I loved that would fit my tall proportions!
During Covid one of my fav tall-focused retailers looked like it was going out of business, and closed all its stores. This terrified me, so I established TALLternative, an online community for those looking to buy tall clothing and help each other find great pieces.
That little idea has now grown to a community of over 25,000 members in 65+ countries.
Whilst it was wonderful to have so many people join the group, finding clothes that are flattering, stylish, affordable and that truly fit our tall proportions is still a huge challenge.
So in late 2023, I decided enough was enough - if brands wouldn't make clothes for us, then we would have to sort it ourselves.
It was time to make a brand powered by the TALLternative community just for us!
We want to offer you value for money (no tall tax here!), sustainable, natural fabrics, high-quality workmanship and ensure high ethical standards for our production. This is why we decided to work with Unfolded.
